In Tupátaro, Michoacán

Hi,

Today I want to share my experience in the small town of Tupátaro, Michoacán.

In this town, we can behold the Ancient Temple of Santiago Apostol. This place was built in the XVI century. The architecture is really beautiful and has golden details inlaid.

The ceiling was painted by indigenous people with the help of monks. It is awesome because the paintings detail the life of Jesus Christ. There is a total of 33 small painted stories forming a bigger single painting in the Temple's ceiling.

An important fact is that inside of the temple are buried former servants of the Church, whereas other graves of indigenous people are located in front of the building.

If you have a chance to visit Michoacán, do not hesitate to stop by Tupátaro.

Here I share a picture of the temple.

Also, I have other pictures with the inside view of the Temple and the ceiling's paintings.
